Longtime Suspect Confesses To Murdering Brooklyn Woman Over three years ago, a 25-year-old Brooklyn woman disappeared and was believed to have been murdered after a night of clubbing; two years after that, the remains of Laura Garza were finally found in Pennsylvania. Now, the prime suspect in the case who has long been suspected of having killed Garza has finally confessed to smothering her to death. But Garza's family aren't satisfied with the sentence given to registered sex offender Michael Mele: "My daughter will be the same age as my sister when he gets out. That's not justice," said the victim’s brother, Ivan. "He should have got life behind bars." [ more › ]
